I keep finding you in unassuming places, in random faces

Today, instead of studying about political Shia Islam in Iran, I discovered Tyler Knott. He's a poet who types down words in a beautiful, sweet and heart-breaking way. His poems give me a tingling (irrational?) desire to get down on my knees and propose this very second. When one's mind gets to feed on things like these, one needs nothing else.

Indulgence of the week, herewego:

skew houses, faces and wickedness

My diary has been echoing silence for some time. Meanwhile, I've spent a couple of fabulous days in amsterdam hanging with cool people, partied way too much and slept way too little. Entered a bubble of Dutch paradise and forgotten about reality.

I thought we'd take a look at my collection of instamsterdam photos.

Arrival: sunday night. Mission: heavy suitcase-marathon.

We stayed at my best friend Elin's place. In love with this tiny kitchen and black/white tile floor.

I saw pretty buildings and dreamed of having my own, skew apartment one day.

And this one!

We chilled on couches in the middle of the street at 6am.

And had lollipops.

More lollipopping.

Went to museums whilst simultaneously texting.

Were fascinated by street art.

Partied away in shady (empty) bars with shitty speakers and christmas decorations acting as party lights.

Felt completely and utterly fabulous in my friend's coat. (A few days after, we were stopped on the street by Holland's biggest fashion website and photographed for their street style section! Craycray egoboost!)

Wishing I had bought this book.

Went back home to Sweden :(

Mr. Amster, I'll be back before you know it!!!!!!!! Elin love, thank you for these epic four days!

Saturday lazy day

Today I'm staying in bed for a few more hours, reading about radical islamism and jihadism for my seminar on wednesday. It feels all luxurious doing your homework in bed, and not having to be stressed about a thousand other things like back in high school. "Back in high school"? Makes me feel old. A year ago high school and homework and classes were the only things that existed in my cognitive universe, and I thought the horror would never end.
Now I'm here, in bed, writing about doing my homework (something that I'm actually interested in for once, oh the benefits of being a university student!), and I'm feeling completely and utterly relaxed. Appreciate what you've got, live in the moment; these are the things I'm learning nowadays. #thisisthelife
Later - workout session, movie date with my sister and planning of future trips! 2013 is going to be great, I'll make sure of it.

(FYI, this is possibly the most boring post I have ever written. I am obviously not a writer.)

raw banana/avocado yoghurt

today I made raw food yoghurt according to a recipe book my sister borrowed me. It's super simple, you need: avocado, banana, optional fresh fruits and a lot of seeds, oats and stuff. you mix the banana and avocado in a food processor, and there's your yoghurt. sprinkle with fruit and seeds.

And voila! Your friday breakfast is served. Simple, healthy and delicious.

Pt. 1, Vulnerability

Sneak peek of yesterday's spontaneous shoot with two friends. This photo aims to demonstrate the concept of fragility to its very core, and in the photo you can see me (blonde) and my friend Josefin doing our best to picture this concept. Tbh, I'm very satisfied with this photo considering the whole photoshoot-idea was entirely unplanned. More to come soon.

constructive criticism, anyone?

This is me in my current state. Don't ask. Face look of the day lol

movies i want to see, 2013

World War Z. Brad Pitt chasing zombies? I'm in.

Mama. Two girls who have grown up in the forest move in with their uncle and his family. I'm expecting creepy little girls, horror and more horror.

The Call. Halle Berry with a fabulastic haircut acting the hero of the story. Mmm.

Carrie. A girl with telekinetic powers begins to unleash them.

Beautiful Creatures. Another horror movie, this time combined with fantasy.. and beautiful people.

The Host. Stephenie Meyer is back!

Bless Me, Ultima. I'm not entirely familiar with this one, but anything set during WW2 should be worth a try.

The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.

After Earth. It's been a few years since The Pursuit of Happiness was released in theaters. Father and son Smith reunite in this movie that everyone seems to be talking about - they land on this planet which was evacuated by humans 1000 years ago, and set of to explore it.

This is only a few of the movies I'm looking forward to see. But you get the point - 2013 is going to be one heck of a year!!!!!

Kenyan explorers

My two amazing sisters will be starting their journey to Kenya on sunday, where they will be staying for several months volunteering at an orphanage. These are all the clothes, candy, toys and stuffed animals they're bringing to the children. I couldn't be more proud of them. I envy you so much!

'cause then when i'm falling the downhills will all be worth it

This is me. I'm absolutely bonkers about my new orange, transparent shirt. FIERCE!

I got this in the mail, sent all the way from America. I died.

Two pictures through my instagram from yesterday. Follow me there, @ ienni!
